Research Faculty of Arts

The research conducted at the Faculty of Arts covers a wide range of fields, ranging from archaeology to theoretical linguistics, from journalism to international relations, and wherever possible corresponds with the three UG research priorities (Energy, Healthy Ageing and Sustainable Society). Research in the Faculty is conducted at its three research institutes: CLCG, GIA and ICOG.

The Faculty of Arts hosts over 20 thematic Centres of Expertise, which facilitate interdisciplinary research and cooperation with private and public organizations.

The Graduate School for the Humanities (GSH) houses all activities related to PhD research, supervision and training. On national level our researchers participate in different national research schools. The UG is secretary of the Netherlands Research School for Medieval Studies.
