Ben Feringa awarded Honorary Doctorate from Bratislava University

On Wednesday, March 15, the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava awarded the title of "Doctor honoris causa" to Nobel laureate Ben Feringa from our Stratingh Institute for Chemistry (University of Groningen), and Nobel laureate Jean-Marie Lehn form the University of Strasbourg.

The ceremony was a unique event, attended by rectors and vice-rectors of several universities, guests, members of staff and students. Both honorary doctors gave the inaugural lecture. Prof. Ben Feringa has been awarded an honorary doctorate for his exceptional work in the fields of organic chemistry, quality of publications and his popularization and support of chemistry for students.
