Social Safety

The University of Groningen stands for a working and studying environment in which everyone feels welcome and at home. This means that we listen to each other, appreciate each other, and continue to share perspectives, even when we disagree and experience discomfort.

This is not (yet) a given everywhere. That is why we invite you to share your stories with us. So that difficult topics can be discussed and we can learn from each other's perspectives. Through these conversations, we promote participatory leadership and work together to build a culture of mutual understanding, trust, and connection.

As part of this culture, the Central Contact and Information Point for Social Safety offers help and support if you encounter behaviour that undermines social safety. Raising such behaviour in a thoughtful and open manner helps to create a working and learning environment where everyone feels welcome and at home. Thank you in advance!
