As the GRL programme is fully taught and assessed in English, students are required to demonstrate their English skills by sitting an approved English test and achieving a minimum grade.

After passing the first step of the selection procedure, you will be invited for an interview. This can take place either in person in Leeuwarden or via Skype. The interview is a chance for us to get to know you better and for you to ask any pending questions you may have.

Due to the content of some courses, we require students to have achieved a certain level of mathematics during their studies.

As the GRL programme is fully taught and assessed in English, students are required to demonstrate their English skills by sitting an approved English test and achieving a minimum grade.

Some exemptions will be made for demonstrating English proficiency: Applicants with a VWO diploma and a grade of 7 or higher in English Applicants with a secondary school diploma fully taught and assessed in English. This includes applicants with a IB/EB diploma.

wiskundetoets cijfer

Students need to attain a grade 7 in VWO Wiskund A/ passing grade in VWO Wiskunde B or an international equivalent to be admissible to the programme.

vooropleiding

Students are required to have successfully obtained a secondary school diploma which allows entry to an academic university. Therefore, students need to obtain a Dutch VWO diploma or international equivalent before gaining entry to the programme.

Aanmeldingsprocedure

As our programme is selective, students must pass a two-step selection procedure in order to be offered a place on the programme.

1. Apply via Studielink and OAS (Online Application System).  When you apply through the OAS system, you will be asked to upload a letter/ video of motivation, CV and reference letter. Once you are deemed admissible based on our admission requirements, we will evaluate these additional documents. If we think you are a promising candidate for our bachelor programme, you will be invited to take part in the second part of the selection procedure which is in the form of an interview.

The Dutch government has announced its intention to cut the 2018/2019 tuition fee in half. A national bill to regulate the tuition fees is currently in preparation. The bill will apply to 1st-year students of certain Bachelor's programmes. The proposed changes have not been taken into account in the abovementioned tuition fee. We will update the information as soon as a final decision has been made.
