In addition to the exchange programmes at faculty level, there are also student exchange agreements at university level (i.e. not specifically with law faculties).

Exchange in USA / Canada - open ONLY to Master students or excellent 3rd year Bachelor students!

Due to a difference in educational systems, it is generally not possible for LLB students to study in the USA and Canada. After high school, the students first go to a college for four years and can subsequently enter a law school, if they pass a very competitive selection exam. We have exchange agreements in these countries with Law Schools, not colleges. Courses that are open to exchange students are usually third or fourth year law courses, the level of which is comparable to master courses in the Netherlands. As a result of this, our partners require us to select only advanced law students.

Tip: Following the block 2 elective "Introduction to Common Law" would be an advantage.
