Travelling by airplane

The two closest airports to the city of Groningen are Amsterdam Schiphol airport and Bremen airport. From Amsterdam airport, direct train services to Groningen are available. From Bremen airport a direct bus connection to Groningen is available. The trip to Groningen takes approximately 2.5-3 hours from both airports. Flights to Bremen airport tend to be cheaper than flights to Amsterdam airport.
