My main research interests are related to the fields of Personality, Clinical Psychology, and Individual Differences through interpersonal interactions. My background is in clinical and research settings. My first steps after graduating from Psychology (with clinical specialization), at the University of Talca, Chile, were doing clinical training in EMDR therapy and working in Psychiatric settings as a psychotherapist. Next, I went to do my Master's degree in research in Behavior and Cognition at the University of Barcelona, Spain, where I mainly learned research techniques. Now, I am working on my Ph.D. in the embodied correlates of Personality and Depression, as well as their expression during interpersonal interactions. I am particularly interested in studying individual differences and intra-individual variation while individuals synchronize into dyadic interactions.

Expertise
I study individual differences in personality and subjective wellbeing ("happiness") and their lifespan trajectories and connections with affect/emotion/mood dynamics (internalizing problems) and the socioecology in which one lives and grows, especially intimate support relationships, daily activities, adverse events, culture, and history. I work at the University of Groningen in the Department of Psychology and in the Interdisciplinary Center Psychopathology and Emotion regulation (www.ICPE.NL). See Google.Scholar or  Researchgate for details. Currently working from home and interested in happy neurotics and the unfolding Covid-19 pandemic and the psychosocial consequences.
