Developmental psychology and psychopathology. I study personality and happiness (i.e. subjective well-being esp. emotion dynamics) and daily life stress and stress disorders (esp. anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicide). Key expertise is Neuroticism. See Google.Scholar or Researchgate for details. Currently engaged with studies on daily life stress (Stress in Action gravitation 2023-33), the secrets of happy neurotics (Veni 2019-22) and benefits of neuroticism (NUDS 2023+); the consequences of emotional and physical childhood neglect and abuse (HND) and factors that foster recovery from suicide thoughts/behaviors/self-harm in youth (2023+) and the unfolding Covid-19 pandemic and psychosocial consequences (2020+).
