Expertise
I study individual differences in personality and subjective wellbeing ("happiness") and their lifespan trajectories and connections with affect/emotion/mood dynamics (internalizing problems) and the socioecology in which one lives and grows, especially intimate support relationships, daily activities, adverse events, culture, and history. I work at the University of Groningen in the Department of Psychology and in the Interdisciplinary Center Psychopathology and Emotion regulation (www.ICPE.NL). See Google.Scholar or Researchgate for details. Currently working from home and interested in happy neurotics and the unfolding Covid-19 pandemic and the psychosocial consequences.
