The LLB programme International and European Law is a three-year full-time programme and the language of instruction and examination is English.
In order to obtain an LLB degree in International and European Law a candidate must successfully complete a total of 180 ECTS of courses:
- 19 courses (130 ECTS)
- 2 research modules (20 ECTS)
- 1 semester abroad; various courses (30 ECTS, at least 25 ECTS need to be law courses)
The academic year in Groningen runs from the first week of September to the end of August and is divided into two semesters of two blocks each (total of four blocks per academic year). Each lecture block is followed by periods of examinations.
