Congratulations on your acceptance to study at the University of Groningen, Faculty of Law for the 2023-2024 academic year!

Here you will find brief information regarding studying in the Faculty of Law. Please note that eligible applicants are sent a formal "Step-by-Step" email from the International Office about the upcoming academic year during the summer. This is an important email that will have further information about beginning your studies.

All incoming students should thoroughly read through the Step-by-step guides for their studies for details about introduction and information events for new students to the Faculty of Law.

LLB students

Once you have accepted your study place and registered for the LLB programme, please follow the LLB step-by-step guide, which will help you set up all the necessary requirements for beginning your studies. If you have any questions regarding these steps, please send an email to llb rug.nl.

LLM students

Once you have accepted your study place and registered for the LLM programme, please follow the LLM step-by-step guide, which will help you set up all the necessary requirements for beginning your studies. If you have any questions, please send an email to llm rug.nl.

For those students who will enroll in the Governance and Law in Digital Society LLM that is taught in Leeuwarden, please follow the GLDS step-by-step guide. If you have any questions, please send an email to llm rug.nl.

Exchange students

Once you have accepted your study place as an exchange student at the Faculty of Law, please follow the link you will receive by email to the Exchange Student Step-By-Step Guide, which will help you set up all the necessary requirements for beginning your studies.
