Prof. Arjan van der Schaft of the
Johann Bernoulli Institute
for Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Engineering, is the 2013 recipient of the three-yearly awarded 'Certificate of Excellent Achievements from the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) Technical Committee on Nonlinear Control Systems'.
