Upcoming seminar: ‘The added value of effective stewardship’
|Datum:||06 februari 2019|
Nothing planned on 5 March yet? Then we might have something interesting for you. This day iGOR hosts a seminar called ‘The added value of effective stewardship’. The seminar is also jointly organized by NN Investment Partners and Eumedion. So, check out the programme and schedule your agenda!
During the seminar we will go in to how investors can effectively exercise their stewardship responsibilities. Tjerk Huysinga (executive vice president investor relations at Royal Dutch Shell) and Marian Hogelsag (partner at DoubleDividend) will reflect on shareholder engagement and active ownership. Both these issues are central elements of the recently developed Dutch Stewardship Code and the engagement obligations in the revised Shareholder Rights Directive that becomes effective in June. Their views will be complemented by the findings of the PRI that recently published the report ‘How ESG Engagement Creates Value for Investors and Companies’. This in-depth qualitative study considered how investor engagement in environmental, social and governance issues creates value for corporations and investors.
