Gronings Andragogen Netwerk (GAN)

The Groningen Adult Education Network is an alumni association of the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences for (ex-)students of Adult Education. The GAN offers a platform for alumni of the University of Groningen who occupy themselves with learning and intervention in social practice.

Officially the Department of Adult Education (Andragogiek) no longer exists. But the association will still continue to exist, as GAN has become a brand name in the North of the Netherlands. GAN maintains close relations with the Department of Lifelong Learning of the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences. GAN encourages reflection and debate by organizing noteworthy lectures. Finally GAN wants to create a community of practice in which theory and practice can start a productive co-operation.
