About our research
Climate change, globalization, digitization and increasing diversity; these are but a few of the developments our society is dealing with.
Resilience is necessary to cope well with these changes–the capacity to hold your own and adjust in the midst of change. This is the common thread present in the research of the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences. Attention is paid to both individual as well as societal resilience and the question of how we can improve these.
In this context, we focus on the topics of migration, environment and climate, health, upbringing and teaching, protection of vulnerable minorities, and sustainable collaborations.
The faculty’s research has a strong foundation in the academic disciplines of Educational Sciences, Pedagogical Sciences, Psychology, Sociology and the training of teachers for both primary and secondary education. From this foundation, we collaborate on interdisciplinary themes.
