Pharmacy student Luke van der Koog wins KNMP Student Award

Pharmacy student Luke van der Koog is one of the four winners of the KNMP Student Award. Van der Koog wins the prize for his graduation project 'Changes in the nerves around airways in asthma'. The prize consists of a cash prize of EUR 1000. The winning students have been nominated by professors and lecturers for their excellent study results.

Van der Koog has investigated the mechanism behind the changing structure and function of nerves around the airways of asthma patients. According to Prof. Taxis, he is one of the very best students and his findings shed completely new light on the mechanisms that regulate airway hyperresponsiveness in asthma.
