On the occasion of the retirement of prof.dr. Arthur Veldman there will be a symposium on August 27th on topics related to his academic life. The symposium is the prelude to his farewell lecture entitled "Wiskunde aan de grenzen van het toepassen” (Mathematics at its frontiers of application).
