Centre for Learning and Teaching researchers receive grant from Erasmus+ Program
Dr. Mohammad Gharesifard and Prof. Lucy Avraamidou from the Centre for Learning and Teaching ( CLT ) acquired a research grant for the project titled 'Up-STEAM' Supporting Instructors in Promoting Informal Science Learning in Higher Education. The project secures funding from the Erasmus+ Programme for Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education.
The project is coordinated by the FSE Centre for Learning and Teaching and it involves a consortium of five partners, both universities and NGOs from the Netherlands, Cyprus Greece, and Spain. In total, the consortium has been awarded a grant of EUR 400,000, with Gharesifard and Avraamidou receiving approximately EUR 100,000 for a period of 30 months.
The Up-STEAM project includes the development of lesson plans and related curriculum materials, professional development workshops for university instructors, implementation, and research. The project starts in November.
