Award for outstanding PhD abroad granted to He

Sheng He, PhD student at the research institute for Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Engineering (ALICE), has been granted the “2016 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad" by the China Scholarship council. This award, starting in 2003, was founded with the purpose of rewarding the academic excellence of self-financed Chinese students studying overseas. Only those with outstanding performance in their PhD studies are considered by the award selection panel and no more than 500 young researchers all over the world are granted the award each year.
