Today is Well-being Wednesday! A moment to pause and check in with how you’re really doing. This month’s focus: personal growth.

Your student years are intense, not only in terms of acquiring knowledge in a particular field, but also in terms of personal development. Would you like to cope better with stress, suffer less from fear of failure, or gain more confidence in social settings? Kickstart your personal growth with a training, workshop or online self-support. The practical tips below can show you what you can do yourself and where you can go for support.

Well-Being Week 2–6 March 2026

We would also like to draw your attention to Well-Being Week 2026, which is being organized next week by Lijst Calimero, Lijst Sterk, and the Groninger Studentenbond! From March 2 to March 6, they, alongside many local student, study, and general associations, are hosting talks, activities, workshops, and social events focusing on the topic of student well-being. Follow their Instagram (@wellbeingweek26) for further updates!


Tips and support for personal growth

Free online self-help module: Self-image

If you ever criticise yourself or doubt your self-worth, you may have a negative self-image. This module can help you improve that self-image. You will take a closer look at your self-image and how it affects your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. Step by step, you will learn to become a more positive person and be less hard on yourself.


Course: Assertiveness and social skills

Do you often feel tense in social situations? Does it feel uncomfortable to be yourself around other people? In that case this training might be good for you. As assertiveness is best developed through practice, you will spend plenty of time practising, both during the sessions and in everyday life.

  • Start date: 5 March (in Dutch)

  • Duration: 7 weekly sessions of 2.5 hours
  • Price: € 5


Course: Overcome your fear of failure

Do you often feel tense and do you worry al lot? Would you say you are a perfectionist? Do you often feel like you could still do more when you've already studied hard? Then you may suffer from fear of failure. In this course you will learn to let go of some high demands that you set yourself.

  • Start dates: 8 April (in Dutch), 13 April (in Dutch), 16 April (in English)
  • Location: Student Service Centre
  • Duration: 5 weekly sessions of 2 hours
  • Price: € 5


Course: Stop procrastinating

This course will teach you how to motivate yourself and get to work. Within four weeks you will have all the knowledge and techniques you need to control your procrastinating behaviour.

  • Start date: 15 April (in English)
  • Location: Student Service Centre
  • Duration: 4 weekly sessions of 2 hours
  • Price: € 5
