Current collaborations
The Science Shop for Language, Culture, and Communication collaborates with partners in the following projects:

The Career Minor (semester 1, September–February) of the Faculty of Arts is a faculty-wide minor that prepares third-year bachelor’s students for the labor market.

For Stichting Senia, which organizes reading groups for the elderly, we are structurally looking for students (Literary Studies / WEM / ETC / Art History) who are interested in writing reading guides for older readers.

In the Atelier: Living Heritage (semester 1b–2a, November–March), master’s students in History learn how to translate historical information to an exhibition proposal.

In the Social Lab course (semester 2b, April–June) of the Media Studies program, first-year students work in groups on issues around marketing and social media presented by organizations and companies.

In the Management & Entrepreneurship course (semester 2b, April–June) of the Arts, Culture & Media program, second-year students work in groups on practical research assignments related to management in the arts sector.

Master’s students in the Arts, Culture and Media program can choose to conduct research commissioned by Eurosonic Noorderslag as part of the course Music Careers, Industries, and Lives. Within the overarching theme of inclusivity in the live musicindustry , students select a specific case study.

Second-year Communication and Information Studies students in the course Questionnaire and Interview Design (semester 1, September–January) conduct research in a neighborhood in Groningen, in collaboration with various partners.

Third-year students of the BA Dutch Language and Culture delve into societal questions during their Argumentation course. They map out all the arguments surrounding an issue and design a physical product that can be used as a conversation starter.
