Perceived Health Status in Patients with a Cardiological Disease - follow up -2

Summary:

This project is a follow up of previous project ‘Social class and its impact on patient's functional status and recovery process after cardiological or cardiosurgical intervention’ (MSc Zuzana Skodova, PhD). In this project the Roma population versus the non-Roma population is central. Our research focuses on different aspects of functional status among patients with coronary heart disease, and is designed to distinguish between influences originating from ethnicity and originating from socio-economic status. Furthermore the study focuses on the rehabilitation process after cardiovascular surgery. In this study patients who are referred for coronary-angiography in VUSCH (East Slovak Institute of Cardiac and Vascular Diseases) are followed for 2 years.
