Determinanten van stedelijke gezondheid: een vergelijking tussen Slowaakse en Nederlandse steden

Samenvatting:

The thesis will focus on determinants of urban health. It will develop themes on area deprivation, social and physical characteristics of urban environment and their associations with mental health and self-perceived health of urban citizens. Data will be collected within the European project EURO-URHIS 2 (FP7). Slovakia and the Netherlands participate in the project, thus allow appropriate between city comparisons. Data will be analysed by means of advanced statistics. The outcomes of the thesis can serve for policy makers as evidence based tool for improving health of citizens in urban areas.
