Summary:
The lifestyle of people in the east of Groningen is unhealthier than in the rest of the Netherlands. Adults and elderly in this area have shown to be relatively less physical active and their dietary pattern is more unfavourable. This is probably partly connected to the low socio-economic position and their culture. The main cause of this state seems to be that people in the east of Groningen lack the feeling of relevancy of a healthy lifestyle.
