EU Election activities

From June 6th to 9th, European Elections will take place. Over 375 million Europeans are eligible to cast their vote for a new European Parliament. In order to assist everyone in making informed decisions when casting their vote, the university, along with other parties in the city, is organizing various events about the elections. On May 27th, members of the European Parliament will come to Forum Groningen for the European Election Debate to discuss urgent issues facing Europe today.

Even as North Atlantic domination of the global economy has waned, the EU has shown an impressive capacity to wield economic power. But how is that power affected by fragmentation in both the global system and within the EU itself? And why does the efficacy of EU economic power matter, especially in the run-up to European Parliamentary elections?
