Join the Conference on Corporate Governance in Emerging Markets
When: 5-6 July 2018
Where: De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), Amsterdam
The Institute of Governance and Organizational Responsibility (iGOR) and the Emerging Markets Corporate Governance Research Network (EMCGN) are hosting the next International Conference on Corporate Governance in Emerging Markets. Top researchers and policy makers from around the world will be brought together during this event. The conference aims to provide a platform for research related discussions from both theoretical and policy perspectives, as well as demonstrate how research findings relate to corporate governance practices in emerging markets.
Interesting for you?
The conference will facilitate dissemination of state-of-the-art research on corporate governance in emerging markets, with the objective of supporting academic but also policy and practice development. That is why the conference is interesting for academics who’s research focuses on the following topics:
- drivers of corporate governance;
- corporate governance’s impact on firm performance, financing and economic development;
- the role of legal, economic and political institutions in shaping corporate governance systems in emerging markets.
While papers are mostly expected to be from the law, economic and finance fields, the conference welcomes papers from other disciplines, such as sociology, organisational science and management. Besides theoretical and empirical papers, clinical studies are welcome. The conference also welcomes papers focusing on comparative research, comprising clusters of countries sharing similar institutional or economic characteristics (which can be geographically close or distant – such as BRICs, or with similar institutional frameworks or reform approaches).
