About us Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences Psychology Education Master MSc Psychology: application, admission & selection

General information

on application, admission & selection (pre)master Psychology

As the deadline (1 March) for registration has passed, it is no longer

possible to register for the master Psychology (start September 2023).

This page offers a brief overview and explanation of all relevant aspects in relation to application, admission & selection.

The admission requirements and application process first of all depend on which kind of bachelor's diploma you (will) have obtained. Please carefully study the ‘prior education’ page that applies to your situation. If you are eligible for a premaster's programme based on your previous education, all information on this will be provided there as well.

All master tracks have the same general criteria (that apply to all master tracks) and some tracks have additional specific criteria. This means that it depends on your previous education and the track you have chosen whether you are eligible for admission or whether you need to do something extra.

Depending on your background and language of the track of your choice, you will have to submit proof of your proficiency in either Dutch or English.

Selection procedure for admission to the master's

If there are more admissible students than available places for the track(s) of your choice, you will be invited for a selection test. After the selection procedure you may be placed in the master track of your choice or on the waiting list. Information on the selection procedure can be found on each ‘Application and admission per prior education' page.
