Dear Alumni from Special Education,

Education and research in our discipline relate for a large part to the daily practice of specialist care and assistance. After finishing their studies, alumni very often lose track of one another. Overall, however, they do find jobs in the field of special education. Many alumni also lose sight of new developments within the study programme, or how the programme prepares groups of students for their work as remedial educationalists. The Department itself seems to have insufficient knowledge about the places where recent graduates get jobs. Yet, within the Department we feel the need to exchange knowledge and experience with (recent) graduates who work in the context of Special Education.

The main objective of this association is to exchange information between alumni and our department about education and research. Next to this goal, the social aspect is very important in relation to the association, as well.
