STW grant for Dömling and Meurs
The Technology Foundation STW has granted Prof. Alexander Dömling (Drug Design group) and Prof. Herman Meurs (Molecular Pharmacology group) of the Groningen Research Institute of Pharmacy and Prof. Philip Elsinga of the UMCG EUR 850,000 for their research proposal “Design, Synthesis and Validation of Potent and Isozyme Selective Arginase Inhibitors for Therapeutic Use in Asthma”. Industrial partners will invest an additional EUR 166.000,- in the project. The grant was awarded within the Open Technology programme. STW awarded seven research proposals in total.
