NWO KIEM grant for Prof. Gerrit Poelarends
Prof.dr. Gerrit J.Poelarends has been awarded a KIEM-grant for his cooperation with INTEGREX Research titled “Environmentally friendly synthesis of complex amino acids: Enzymatic synthesis of 3-aryl and 3-aryloxy substituted aspartic acid derivatives starting from readily available fumaric acids”.
New Chemical Innovations Fund - Knowledge Innovation Mapping (KIEM) aims are to: strengthen demand-driven research and innovation and to valorise the outcomes for strategic opportunities for economic and societal growth in the chemistry sector; encourage public-private partnerships in innovative scientific subjects, in line with the current Innovation Contract that has been written by the Top Sector Chemistry; realise all other activities that in any way relate to the above or could facilitate this.
