Students in Elsevier content with RUG degree programmes
In the overview of best universities that the weekly Elsevier published this week, the University of Groningen has been given excellent marks by Bachelor’s and Master’s students.
The University of Groningen is marked the best in eight degree programmes, second in a further seven, and third best in another eight degree programmes. This means that the University is in the top three for 23 of the 30 assessed degree programmes.
Top-degree programmes
The eight University of Groningen degree programmes that are the best on national scale according to students are:
- Artificial Intelligence (1st in 2009)
- Business Studies (3rd in 2009)
- Chemistry (not assessed in 2009)
- Economics of Taxation (4th in 2009)
- Mathematics (not assessed in 2009)
- Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences (3rd in 2009)
- Philosophy (not assessed in 2009)
- Social geography and planning (4th in 2009)
The increase compared with 2009 is remarkable, when Artificial Intelligence was the only University of Groningen programme to take first place.
