Frank Dekker partner in funded Horizon Europe project
The team of Prof. Frank Dekker of the Groningen Research Institute of Pharmacy (GRIP) participates in a Horizon Europe project that was recently funded. The project is called 'In Armor' and concerns the pre-clinical development of small molecule inhibitors of histone lysine deacetylases (HDAC) for the induction of antimicrobial peptides. The project will be performed by a consortium of 16 participants from 11 different European countries with a total budget of EUR 6 million. The Dekker team is funded with EUR 390,000 to work on the synthesis and characterization of a focussed collection of HDAC inhibitors that will be taken into pre-clinical development.
