Step 1: Admission requirements
You have a degree programme in Economics and Business in mind. Of course you now want to know how you can enter our programmes.
Bachelor programmes
With a Dutch VWO diploma
Mathematics is one of the important courses you need for all of our programmes. Your level of mathematics should be at VWO-level within the four VWO-profiles (check Teaching and Examination Regulations, Bachelor degree programmes > 'Admission to the degree programmes').

With an HBO propaedeutic certificate
With an HBO propaedeutic certificate it is also possible to enter the programme, on the condition that you meet the required level of mathematics. If you do not have mathematics A or respectively mathematics B at Dutch VWO level (see above) you can do the Math entrance exam offered by the faculty.
No VWO diploma or HBO propaedeutic certificate
If you are Dutch and do not have a VWO diploma of HBO propaedeutic certificate and you are 21 years or older, you are eligible for admission via the colloquium doctum (universitary entrance exam. The above mentioned math entrance exam is part of this colloquium doctum.
Master programmes
With a Bachelor's degree from the University of Groningen / Faculty of Economics and Business:
> Please check the admission and/or entry requirements in the Teaching and Examination Regulations to see whether your Bachelor's degree grants admission to the Master programmes.
If your Bachelor's degree grants direct admission to the Master's degree programme of your choice but you still have questions, you can contact the Student Support Desk.
If you do not meet the admission and/or entry requirements, you can best contact the Admission Board: toelatingscommissie.feb@rug.nl
With a Bachelor's degree from another university:
> Please check the admission and/or entry requirements in the Teaching and Examination Regulations to see whether your Bachelor's degree grants admission. After applying in Studielink you will have to contact the Admissions Office and send them your resumé and transcript.
With a Dutch HBO-diploma
With all HBO diplomas you can get access to our Pre-Master programmes. After successful completion of the Pre-Master you can enter the chosen Master's degree programme.
