Welcoming event
for newly arrived international philosophy students
Congratulations on having been admitted to one of our philosophy programmes, and thank you for registering with us!
We hope to welcome you in Groningen end of August, both for the University of Groningen Welcome Ceremony and for the Faculty of Philosophy introduction event on Friday morning 31 August 2018 from 10:00 to 13:00. Our Handbook for International philosophy students will be sent to you via email and handed out on the Faculty introduction event. You will meet your fellow students, our international officer and your student mentors.
Academic year 2018-2019
- 27th and 28th August: UG pick-up service (Movin' to Groningen) at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport (sign-up required)
- 29th August: Immigration Day (for non-EU/EEA students)
- 30th August: UG Welcoming Ceremony + party
- 31st August: Faculty of Philosophy Introduction event for international students
- 3rd September: Start of the academic year 2018-19
- 5th September: Faculty of Philosophy opening of the academic year celebration (+ barbecue)
