Are you interested in visiting the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Groningen as an exchange student? Then please read below what you need to do:
Make sure that you study a major in economics and/or business and are enrolled at a partner university of the Faculty of Economics and Business. The exchange office of your home university will know whether we have an exchange contract. Please be aware that we do not accept any free movers.
To be accepted as an exchange student at the Faculty of Economics and Business, students need to have taken a minimum of 10-12 courses (60 ECTS) in the field of economics and business. Students should have covered subjects such as statistics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, (financial) accounting and research methods.
Your home university will need to nominate you in our Mobility Online System. Once you have been nominated, you will receive a link generated from Mobility Online to register and upload your documents.
Please make sure to check your inbox and also spam folder regularly for emails from us.
Register online and upload the following documents before the deadline:
- Copy of your bachelor transcript in English
- Copy of your English language proficiency certificate
- photocopy of passport or European ID card. Please note that we need this information to verify whether you will need a visa or residence permit for your study in the Netherlands. We only need to see the following information: issuing country, full name, date of birth, date of expiry. Please feel free to blur all other information.
Master students only: copy of your Bachelor’s degree in the field of economics and/or business
For Autumn entry (early September) / academic year:
Non-EU studentes : 1 May
EU- students: 15 May
(nomination deadline: 15 April)
For Spring entry (early February): 1 November
Non-EU studentes : 6 October
EU- students: 15 October
(nomination deadline: 1 October)
