The characteristic stairway will return in the entrance hall.

The UG is developing a world-class regional faculty and gets a building that fits.

For whom?

Students and researchers
Campus Fryslân is the place where ultimately 1,000 bachelor, master and PhD students will study and conduct research. In the bachelor's programmes, education will mainly take place in small groups. The relationship between staff and students is of great importance to education. A community is created to live, work, study, dine, etc. In addition to educational spaces, common areas are therefore also of great importance.

The workplaces are for CF academic and support staff, and there is also flexible work space for staff who have their 'first' workplace in Groningen and come to Leeuwarden for education and/or research.

Campus Fryslân is a faculty in a narrow sense, but is also a platform. This means that the Faculty is looking for cooperation with the other knowledge institutions in the city and province, but also with business. The faculty is both demand-oriented and offer-oriented. This can lead to intensive cooperation in the field of research and education.

The Beurs will be a semi-public building of a faculty that wants to be explicitly connected to the city of Leeuwarden and the surrounding area. To encourage encounters, we will organize regular public activities in the future or in collaboration with others (lecture, debate, exhibition, seminar, etc.). Occasionally, some parts of the building, such as auditorium and living lab, can be used by third parties at a cost.
