Requesting permission to occupy the position after the second slash

University subdivisions that operate highly independently, have their own mission and range of services and work for both internal and external clients may request the communications department to allow them to add their name as the second brand element (instead of after the third slash).

The criteria for assessing such requests are the number of internal and external clients, the extent of the subdivision’s external orientation (which should be different from that of the faculty or service under which it falls) and the degree of independence from its faculty or service. The request must be co-signed on behalf of the faculty or service concerned. Once the communications department has endorsed the request, it will be submitted to the Board of the University for approval.
