The University of Groningen in other house styles

The name and logo of the University of Groningen may be used in another house style if the UG’s contribution to the collaboration is substantial. Please submit proposals for the structural incorporation of the UG logo into other house styles to the Communication Office.

Rules for using the University of Groningen logo in external house styles


The UG logo may only be used in red, black or white. When used in other house styles, using the logo in inverted colours (a white logo on a coloured background) is often a good solution.

Position and size

When used in another house style, the UG logo may not be positioned at the top of the page or at the same height as the principal logo. The bottom right corner is usually a good place. The UG logo must also be smaller than the principal logo.

University of Groningen collaborations in external house styles

For communication material produced by other organizations (e.g. conference posters), a special version of the logo bar is available for incorporating second branding elements.

In all other cases, the standard rules for using the UG logo apply.
