Staff members with discipline Neuroimaging

Academia develops at the interface of different fields. This is one reason why the University of Groningen is home to a wide range of fields, each with a great number of subject specialists. The overview below, which is based on a standard categorization of fields, will help you find the right expert for each field. If you cannot find the expert you are looking for in this list, try searching via a related field or faculty; you may find him or her there.

Overview of all disciplines

neuropsychology, brain stimulation, hallucinations, emotion, brain, psychosis, depression, schizophrenia, cognitive aging

The long-term aim of my group's research is to restore vision in visually impaired and blind people. We contribute to this goal through improving ophthalmic diagnosis, visual rehabilitation and better understand the origins of ophthalmic disease. In our research, we use eye movement recordings to improve diagnostics, or MRI to study the presence of anatomical and functional changes in the ophthalmic disease glaucoma. We expect this to shed led light on the origin of the disease, its relationships with other neurodegenerative diseases and to contribute to better diagnosis. In our research, we use eye tracking, behavioural and neuro-imaging methods to understand the workings of the visual system in both healthy and visually impaired participants. Our field of research we call visual neuroscience.
