Vacancy Community of Practice Leader Teaching Academy Groningen
Community of Practice
TAG is looking for a new Community of Practice Leader Interdisciplinary Education. Communities of Practice (CoP’s) are interest groups for teachers and other educational professionals. There are several CoP’s around different topics relating to the educational practice. An overview of the communities can be found here. A CoP meets regularly according to the pace of the CoP. During these meetings insights are being shared and members can discuss initiatives to co-create output that can be shared with the wider UG community. Some of the themes that the CoP IE has been working on in the past years are interdisciplinary minor education, challenge based teaching and learning, student learning in interdisciplinary settings and the connections between interdisciplinary education and interdisciplinary research.
CoP-leader
As CoP-leader you are enthusiastic about the topic of the CoP and you want to bring people together. The CoP leader initiates meetings on topics of interest to the CoP and is the contact person for interested new members and the CoP network. CoP leadership could also be organized in a co-role: a main contact person and a backup. Hedwig Boer will remain involved as the lead for the theme group on Challenge Based Learning. You can contact TAG or Marline Lisette (Marlieke) Wilders at m.l.wilders@rug.nl if you are interested in this role or have further questions.
Support
As CoP-leader you will be supported by the TAG. A student-assistant will be able to help you with arranging meetings, taking notes and distributing information to members etc. You can also get support from TAG with the organizational aspect of the community. TAG can think along with regard to the types of events or documents your CoP can produce and can also help with finding relevant people for your CoP.
TAG
The Teaching Academy Groningen is a network organization that aims to connect teachers and education professionals within the UG. By connecting people, best practices can be shared and educational innovation can take place. The TAG has a small core team in order to facilitate this. One of the main events is the yearly Education Festival. The festival is organized with contributions from the CoP’s and Faculties.
