Target Proeftuin at the 2nd Information Universe Conference 2018

03 July 2018

The Information Universe conference brought eighty scientists from eighteen different countries around the world together in the center of Groningen to spend four days in the "DOT", a planetarium with a dome-shaped 3D screen of thirty meters in diameter. During the conference, forty participants presented their most recent research, while the 3D planetarium screen functioned as the ultimate medium to make the most complex subjects tangible. Among the speakers were seven top experts in the field of information in different systems: space-time, quantum computers, huge datasets, the human brain, complex structures on Earth and in the Universe. All this took place in order to find the answer to one overarching question: ‘What is the role of information in our Universe?

The Target Proeftuin was well represented at the conference, with presentations from several partners including, Horus, Target Holding and OmegaCEN.
