Minorities and Multilingualism
Do you want to know more about the problems minority groups face in society? Are you also interested in the many languages of this world? Minorities & Multilingualism prepares you for a career working in situations where different cultures and languages meet. The subjects taught in the bachelors program cover the political, social, and cultural aspects of minority groups and their languages.
T his web class provides a great insight into the central concepts of the Minorities & Multilingualism program by making you aware of the processes of selfing and othering, and offers a small research project on language learning. In the final week, you will combine your knowledge and show that language and identity often go hand-in-hand. Your four weekly assignments will be graded and you will receive feedback from the web class tutor. The weekly workload is around 2,5 hours, adding up to ten hours in total.
