The developments in the field of the computer brain or brain computer surprises and fascinates many people. How will the future look like? Are computers becoming more human? Can we send the mouse and the keyboard to the museum? TechTalks050 kicks off with two speakers who lead you through the world of brain computers or computer brains.

Scientist Niels Taatgen (UG) investigates the next generation computers that will not be based on silicon chips, but on new materials inspired by the human brain.

Game designer Jan Jonk (GainPlay, Utrecht) develops computer games that are controlled by brain activities. Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI) have been developed in medical science, but are increasingly being used for a wider audience. Jan explains from the field of the Utrecht company GainPlay how BCI is used.
