WordPress is a Content Management System (CMS) with which you can create and maintain a website. WordPress started as a simple system for creating weblogs. It has since developed from a weblog program into a fully-fledged way to build a website. You can request a WordPress installation at the CIT and possibly register your own domain. For the course you will use a "practice WordPress site" and organize it according to your own wishes.

This course is intended to help you to set up your own WordPress site. In the course you will learn the basics of working with a WordPress site. You start with a standard empty WordPress site as offered by the CIT. The CIT installs the necessary software and you start working as an administrator
