Pricing policy study costs Faculty of Law

The UG has a ‘study cost pricing policy’. This policy states approximately how much money you can spend on study materials, such as books and readers. This is so you do not have to pay more than what the government factored in when they set the amount of study financing. For the academic year 2025/26, that amount has been set at € 957 per academic year.

Sometimes it is inevitable that the literature is more than the amount mentioned above. In such cases, you can ask the Faculty Board if they will refund a part of that extra cost. Usually, you will be reimbursed half of the extra amount. You have to be able to send all receipts/proofs of purchase. You can mail to fb-rechten rug.nl.

Overview study costs 2024/25

Every year, the student assessor of the Faculty Board creates an overview of the study costs of all degree programmes. This is always done at the end of the academic year to correctly reflect the actual study costs for that academic year. The overview is available through the student assessor .
