About us Faculty of Law International programmes LLM programmes 2026-2027 Applying for admission

Applicants with Dutch degrees

You apply for the LLM programme(s) of your choice in Studielink. If you have a Dutch qualification (a degree from a Dutch Higher Education institution), you will continue your application by completing this application form. The Faculty of Law is in charge of your application.

The LLM programmes of the University of Groningen are masters that have a selection process. This means that in addition to meeting the admission requirements, you also need to meet the selection criteria. You can find more information about the admission and selection criteria here.

Considering the content of the different LLM programmes, admission might be slightly different in some cases. Please find an overview below to see which application situation applies to your degree:

UG degree International and European Law

The Admissions Board has assessed that the exit level of the UG LLB programme International and European Law is equivalent to the entry level of most UG LLM programmes, with the exception of the research master Legal Research and the LLM Technology Law and Innovation. As a result, if you have graduated or are about to graduate from the UG LLB programme International and European Law, you do not have to submit any extra documents for admission.
