University College Groningen is a residential programme, meaning that housing for all incoming exchange students is guaranteed and mandatory. You will receive the link to sign up for the housing once you have been accepted into the programme.
Our students live at the Frascati International Stydents House, situated next to the Groningen train station and overlooking the Zuiderhaven canal. It is just a short walk to the UCG camous and the city centre. Students have their private furnished bedroom, in units consisting of 8-10 rooms. Each unit contains a shared kitchen, a common room as well as shared bathroom facilities. As your room is part of a unit and does not have its own front door, please note that it is not posisble to apply for housing allowance. The Frascati International Student House also has a laundry room, sport facilities and a lockable bike shed. The building is managed by the organisation SSH, an independent non-profit organisation that provides student housing in Dutch cities.
The rooms are an average of 18m2 and the costs are (depending on the individual room) 480 euro per month. These costs are alle inclusive, meaning they include utilities and internet. Students are all required to pay a registration fee (one-time) of 195 euro, and they need to pay the first month of rent in advance.
Please note: You will require a credit card to make your reservation.
