TEDx UniversityofGroningen: ‘Society of the Future’

When:Th 02-06-2016 18:00 - 22:30
Where:Groninger Forum, Hereplein 73, 9711 GD Groningen

TEDx UniversityofGroningen will take place on June 2 at het Groninger Forum from 18:00 to 22:30. The independently organized event, licensed by TED, will feature local voices and TED Talks videos under the theme ‘Society of the Future’.

Launched in 2009, TEDx is a program of locally organized events that bring the community together to share a TED-like experience. Some of the best talks from TEDx events have gone on to be featured on TED.com and garnered millions of views from audiences across the globe.

TEDxUniversityofGroningen is organized by five students of the University and is based on the idea that there is more to our future than just gaining a degree certificate. But where are we heading? What will the society of the future look like? Those are questions that will be addressed during TEDxUniversityofGroningen.

Since TEDx is all about the free flow of ideas, the speakers at TEDxUniversityofGroningen will remain secret. The whole evening will be focused on an all-inclusive experience, which brings inspiration rather than just an expansion of knowledge.

Arkadius Mueller, license-holder of TEDxUniversityofGroningen 2016: “I hope our event will engage the community around the University of Groningen to keep sharing – today, but also in the future.”

Registration for the programme is open between May 9 – 18 via tedxuniversityofgroningen.com: a limited amount of places is available. In the spirit of the event itself, selection will be based on several questions, in order to generate a diverse public.
