Workshop: Humanizing Education Through Videos

Offering asynchronous videos for students has many educational benefits. One important – but often overlooked – advantage is that it can help you humanize your teaching. Among others, videos can make yourself more approachable, improving your interaction with students as well as between students and creating a sense of belonging.
In this workshop we will discuss how we can create and use videos specifically for these purposes.
As part of the workshop, you will record a short video which you will be able to use directly to humanize your own course. This could be an introduction to a course, a bumper video or a video feedback.
