Niels Rambags

Name: Niels Rambags

Born and raised in the south of the Netherlands, studied Human Geography in Utrecht, worked at Utrecht University and VU University in Amsterdam, but already since 2007 living happily in wonderful Groningen. Within the University of Groningen I have worked as an Academic Advisor at the Faculty of Spatial Sciences, afterwards as Head of the Student Administration of the Faculty of Arts and the last 6,5 years as Head Education processes at the Faculty of Science and Engineering and responsible for the teams of Timetabling, International Office, Student Recruitment and Matching & Admission Support. After working at a very big Faculty, I'm looking forward to work in a much smaller environment and really get to know people at UCG.

My first impressions are really positive and what a wonderful team of Support staff UCG has! I hope I can keep the goed spirit and that I can help in improving some of the processes we are supporting.

Besides work, I love to walk (trying to finish the Noaberpad along the German-Dutch border), bootcamp and to travel. I have a huge interest in Scandinavia. I've been an exchange student in Iceland and Denmark, love to travel there and still enjoy a walking holiday almost every year in Denmark. Studied Danish for fun, so if you do too, please help me in keeping my Danish up to date. Denmark is like a second home for me. Besides being active, I like cooking, reading, go the movies and so on.
