Guidance
The UCG's integrated approach to guidance ensures that students receive individual attention and access to a diverse range of workshops, starting from the introduction week and extending through preparation for internships, study abroad, and career placement.
We encourage students to take ownership of their education by building their programme around their interests and ambitions, fostering independence as they develop into self-determined professionals. Our dedicated guidance team, comprising of Academic Advisors and Student Mentors, assists students in their transition to UCG and provides personalised support that encourages reflection on study plans and course choices.
Your Academic Advisor plays a crucial role in planning your curriculum, helping you align your intellectual interests with degree requirements. They track your progress, signal potential issues, and guide you in selecting courses, composing majors and minors, and planning future studies and careers.
Career Guidance
The UCG Career Team is dedicated to helping students envision their futures and become employable upon completing their bachelor’s degree. We organise networking events, provide career advice sessions, and host various workshops and training opportunities to support this goal.
Your minor space
Students enjoy flexibility in their minor space, with coordinators in the guidance team available to help navigate popular routes. Follow the 'After UCG' link below for examples of choices made by senior students in their minor space.
